Description

When we speak of the wines of “Jerez-Xérès-Sherry” we speak of wines produced in the geographical triangle formed by Jerez-El Puerto de Santa María–Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

Viña La Constancia stands in the heart of the best vineyards of the Jerez Superior vineyard zone, covering 24.5 hectares in Cerro Santiago, a sub-pago area forming part of Pago de Macharnudo Alto.

Our visits include an extensive tour through the vineyard of Viña La Constancia, walking between the vine rows and admiring the beautiful landscapes of the countryside around Jerez visible from Cerro Santiago.

A guide specialized in oenology takes visitors through the whole growth cycle of the vine up to the moment when the grapes are finally picked during harvest time.

After the tour of the vineyard visitors are led to Bodegas Herederos Nicolás Martín, where they learn about the traditional process used in the region for ageing wines, based on the system of Criaderas and Solera. Inside the facilities they can then taste the complete range of sherries produced by the bodega and also have the possibility to enjoy food and wine pairings with typical produce from the region.
