BODEGAS BARBADILLO
Wineries / Sanlúcar de Barrameda
Description
Founded in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in 1821 and with six generations of experience, Bodegas Barbadillo complies with the centuries-old traditions of an entirely family-owned bodega producing wines belonging to the Denomination of Origin Jerez-Xeres-Sherry, Brandy de Jerez, Vinagre de Jerez, Vinos de la Tierra de Cádiz and the D.O. Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Since its foundation Barbadillo has never stopped evolving, always seeking wines that surprise and leave their mark.
Owners of over 500 hectares of vineyards, 16 ageing bodegas in Sanlúcar de Barrameda and a red and white grape vinification plant, Barbadillo is one of the largest wineries in the Jerez Region. The bodega maintains strict control over every step of the process: vineyard, winery, bottling and distribution.
They currently hold ISO Certification 9.001, 14.001 and the environmental quality label ” Doñana 21″.
The Barbadillo Manzanilla Museum, one of the biggest wine attractions in Spain, opened the doors of its rich centenarian bodega heritage to the public in 2002.
