Possibly built in the first half of the nineteenth century its name is linked to the figure of the “Corregidor”, the mayor of Jerez appointed by the king. There are many historic texts that make reference to the Corregidor as the best known estate in the Carrascal pago. We know that vines have been grown there since at least 1414 and that its musts were highly valued.

It stands at one of the highest points of the Carrascal pago, at 113 metres above sea level. The house forms a very large quadrangle, still maintaining its four corner lookout posts with embrasures. An Almijar zone surrounds it, a space traditionally used to dry grapes under the sun.

Scenes from the film “La Templanza” were shot in this vineyard.
